Three ways to style The Boyfriend shirt

"The Boyfriend Shirt" How many times have you heard of it ?

This trend has been around for a while now, and there's a reason why it's a classic that never goes out of style. Could be because we love comfort and functionality, the chic look of a crisp white shirt, or the fact that it's not fitted, leaving some room for dessert.

Wheater you love this trend or hate it, there's no denying it's a very convenient one.

I'm showing you my three favorite ways to style a boyfriend fitted shirt.

The Casual Look

For this look I decided to go super casual, one of my go to pieces is biker shorts. To be honest, if you ever see me on the streets there's a 95% chance this is what I would be wearing. Biker shorts are one of those trends that when they first came out I was like WTH is that and who in their right mind would want to wear it ?! Until I tried them out and fell in love. They're comfortable, chic and sporty and they accentuate your beautiful legs.

I paired this oversized boyfriend shirt with my favorite black biker shorts from Old Navy and these super cute Puma Cali sneakers.

The Boyfriend Shirt and Mom Jeans

I don’t know about you, but jeans are a staple for me. Once you find that perfect pair that compliments your body shape, jeans can be a game changer. I styled this shirt with high waisted mom jeans, this style of jeans is my personal favorite because it accentuates my waist which is the smallest part of my body and it creates an hourglass illusion . Since this shirt is already oversized you don’t want to go for baggy jeans that don’t give definition to your curves. The goal is to look “effortless” but put together. For shoes I went with a pair of clear wedges to add some height and elongate the legs.

The Classy Chic

This one has to be my favorite. For this look I paired this shirt with a black high waisted skinny jean from GAP, these are the "jeggings" but they honestly look and feel like actual jeans, they're just 1000 times more comfortable and allow you to eat dessert without feeling like a stuffed turkey. I went with nude heels, these are a perfect dupe for the Valentino "Rockstud" Heels that I absolutely love but haven't been able to pull the trigger to buy them, I LOVE shoes but Valentinos are expensiveeeeeee, so in the meantime I'll rock these ones from DSW and to be honest they look exactly the same Shhhhh.... no one has to know. If you want to go for the comfy version just switch to flats and you’re good to go. Black and white are such classic colors and when combined together they look polished and stylish.
